Welcome to PYHA Bears Hockey!

Registration Information for the 2021 -2022 Season

 

Players must be registered with both USA Hockey and PYHA before they will be allowed to participate in any dryland or on-ice activities and PYHA registration MUST BE COMPLETED BY 7:00 PM (PT) ON THE DAY BEFORE they plan to attend a PYHA practice in order to create and provide coaches with eligible player lists before practices.  The PYHA hockey season runs from October/November (depending on division) through February.  PYHA plans to accept registrations into mid-January and fees will be pro-rated based on remaining season length.  Head Coaches reserve the right to close registration for particular divisions based on player numbers, rostering considerations, and staffing concerns.  For players born 2004 or earlier,  SafeSport training  must be completed before they can be rostered to play in games.

 

Before registering your player(s) with PYHA, you must:

  1. Register with https://www.usahockey.com/ and obtain a 2021-22 USA Hockey Confirmation number. The registration fee for USA Hockey is $46 per person (plus a $10 affiliate fee for Idaho residents or the current affiliate fee for Washington) for those born before 2015. For players born 2015 or after, you must still register with USA Hockey but the fee is waived. 
  2. Have a SportsEngine account. Login or Sign Up for your free account. Information is at the bottom of this page.

Once you have logged into your SportsEngine account, please have ready your:

  1. Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, and
  2. 2021-22 USA Hockey Confirmation Number (if you are a registering a returning player, last year's number may appear in the box. Erase it and put in the 2021-22 number)

 

Registration for PYHA begins at the bottom of this page, once you are signed into your SportsEngine account. Click "Continue" to enter registration.

 

Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from PYHA.

Making sure everyone gets PYHA announcements via e-mail

Association emails to the entire membership are generated through Sportsengine to inform on local and state association activities, online voting, and important hockey related information.  Please make sure that everyone who needs to be receiving PYHA e-mails does: 

  1. Login into your SportsEngine account. 
  2. On the top navigation, click Profile or Household.
  3. Select the profile of the player to which you want to link your account so you will also receive the messages sent to the child. 
  4. Verify that email addresses are included in the Contact Information. If one isn't listed, click Add Email Address and enter the email address. This email address will be used to link the accounts together.
  5. On the bottom left, in the Linked Accounts section, click Add. 
  6. Enter the email address that you would like to link and click Send Invitation. Until the other user accepts the invitation, it will display Pending Acceptance by their name in the Linked Accounts section.  
  7. If you would like to CC an email address without a SportsEngine Account, you can add a secondary email address to your account by clicking add a secondary email address.

PYHA COVID Mitigation Policies and Procedures

The following information is being provided in order for all PYHA families to understand the current policies and procedures which will be instituted at the Palouse Ice Rink and during PYHA activities in response to the COVID pandemic. Please read prior to registering. 

2021 - 2022 Covid Mitigation Policies and Procedures

The PYHA Board is updating this document for the current season.  We apologize that it is not yet available.  If you register and later find, before your player participates in PYHA events or activities, that you do not agree with the policies and procedures, you may request and expect a refund of paid registration fees less any transaction fees.  


PYHA Fees for 2021-2022 Girls Developmental Program

In the even of a season cancellation due to rink closure or other situation, no refunds will be given; instead, returning players will receive a voucher for registration fees in the 2022 -2023 season pro-rated from this season.   Players in their last season will not be reimbursed. 

 

All transactions will incur a Transaction Rate and Fee: 3.0% (in addition to the total registration fee) + $1.00/payment. This fee will be collected at registration, including $1 per each payment of a payment plan.

 

 The Girls program will be charged as a single fee at registration as will the gear rental fee.

 

If you wish to change the  account used to pay, please log in to your SportsEngine account BEFORE the payment is due to update your account information.

 

PYHA reserves the right to invoice for uncollected fees due to calculation errors in the Registration program.

Total $150

This registration is for participation in the PYHA Girls Program only. Sessions are on Tuesdays, with on ice time 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM.  Practices begin the first week of November.

ALL NEW PLAYERS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF AGE AND CITIZENSHIP WITH OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION SUCH AS A COPY OF A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR A PASSPORT. THE REGISTRAR WILL NEED TO COLLECT THESE DOCUMENTS.


League Service - Update for the 2021 -2022 Season

Volunteerism remains critical to the functioning of Palouse Youth Hockey and helps keep costs down while supporting our programs.  PYHA is re-instituting the League Service requirement for the 2021-2022 season with a 10 hour requirement for families with players 8U and up. The service requirement is waived for families with players participating only in the Girls Program.  PYHA does encourage families to support our programs in whatever way you are able during this season and to recognize that our coaches, managers, board members, and others are continuing to volunteer their time so PYHA has a successful season.  


Gear Rental for 6U, 8U, and 10U Players

Hockey equipment is available to borrow for the season on a first-come, first-served basis for $40.28 (tax included). For more information, please read the Gear Rental Agreement below.

 

By enrolling in the Gear Rental program, you are agreeing to the conditions set forth in the Gear Rental Agreement (below) and the fee in full will be added to your registration.


USAH Waiver of Liability, Concussion Information, and SafeSport Policies

During your registration with USA Hockey, the following information was provided and acknowledged:  USAH Waiver of Liability, Concussion Information , and USA Hockey SafeSport Policies.  These documents are provided below for your reference. 

 

Relevant concussion information and Return to Play Protocols are outlined in the document below.  Note that medical clearance following a concussion is required for an athlete to return to practice and games.

 

New SafeSport Policies for players 17 and 18 years old were instituted. Text is highlighted in the SafeSport Policies document below.

How To Create a Sportsengine Account

 

NOTE: If you are the parent/guardian of a participating athlete, please create the account with your information (including your Nameemail addressDate of Birthetc). You will add your athlete to your SportsEngine account as a sub profile later during the registration and/or rostering process. 

  1. Navigate to your organization's website or go to sportsengine.com.
  2. In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click Sign In.
  3. Enter your email address and click Next.
  4. Fill out all the requested information.
    • NOTE: Ensure the information entered belongs to the primary account holder (parent/guardian). 
  5. Once complete, click Sign Up
